Mrs. Fantastic!

It has been nearly two hours since Sarah Palin concluded her Vice Presidential acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. I was impressed. In the time Palin spoke, she showed more poise, character, and integrity than all of the left-wing guttersnipes that have relentlessly dogged her and her family over the past week, She also showed a fire and determination that have been missing from Republicans for several years. Palin is absolutely, unapologetically conservative, Republican, American, and Alaskan and does not give a damn what the elitist left thinks - and she says so proudly.

And that is ultimately why the left hates her so.

The left's vile hatred may have worked in the past and may have even helped them elect the current do-nothing Democratic Congress back in 2006. Those days are over. The Republican Party now has a young leader who will not run from adversity or seek to "reach across the aisle," but rather will stand firm with the courage of her convictions and face down the rabble who seek to besmirch her good name.

After Palin's speech was over, Fox News anchorman Brit Hume recalled a scene from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: Butch and Sundance are being tirelessly pursued across the Bolivian countryside by a posse, and they keep looking back, asking "Who are these guys?" Hume then asked, "Who is this woman?"

The next Vice President of the United States of America, that's who.
