A Musical Interlude

Today's featured artist is Steve Forbert, best known for his 1980 hit "Romeo's Tune" off of the album Jackrabbit Slim.

I had never heard of Forbert until a few weeks ago, when I bought a copy of Keith Urban's Greatest Hits, wherein a cover of "Romeo's Tune" is included.

Music has always helped me relax and put the world in perspective. And "Romeo's Tune" is one of those rare songs where you just marvel at the talent of the songwriter, considering the possibility that some talent is simply God-given. A song like that transports you to a different time and place, where the hardships of life fade away and the possibilities seem endless.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but some beauty is just a wonder to behold for its own sake.
