Massacre at Fort Hood
Once again, Islamic extremism has reared its head within our borders, this time at the expense of twelve soldiers at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas who were murdered by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a disgruntled Army psychologist.
Already, it is being reported that Hasan expressed rather extreme, pro-Islamist views in a series of internet postings:
The rampage was believed to be the deadliest at a U.S. military base in history. The exact motive wasn't clear, though Hasan, a Virginia native and a Muslim, reportedly was against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and had been the target of harassment for his ethnicity.Earlier this evening, Robert Stacy McCain said it best:
Federal law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats. The officials said they are still trying to confirm that he was the author.
One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates homicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.
"To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause," said the Internet posting. "Scholars have paralled (sic) this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers."
The people who want to kill you are not Tea Party protesters or accountants from Saranac Lake, N.Y. They're not Kentucky populists or Belgian radicals. The clash of civilizations between the free, democratic Christian West and the repressive, primitive, tyrannical Muslim East is far from over. Those in this country who provide the jihadists aid and comfort by excusing their vile acts of terrorism are no friends to their fellow Americans. Such appeasing imbeciles are fifth columnists in every sense of the term.
Anyone who wants to distract you from real dangers by telling you to fear this week's pet bogeyman -- global warming! creationists! Ron Paul! -- is not your friend. They are fools and liars who cannot be trusted. They are objectively evil.
Update (11/06/2009):
Check out this old post of mine about the pro-Islamist Nazi historian Sigrid Hunke. She's the patron saint of the jihadist-appeasing left.
